My only regret is the order took almost two weeks to arrive.
Thank you so much for your positive review, Michele! Sadly due to the unexpected snow in Texas - we did run into some delays at our fulfilment center as well as through USPS. Usually our items arrive a little quicker. Send an email to support@woken.coffee - we would love to give you a discount code for 10% off your next order as a thank you for your patience! ☕
Did you know Starbucks makes a pod for vertuo that is sold at Costco. How can they do it if there’s a patent
Hi Ron! we saw them there too and were excited to see them thinking it may have expired! After some reasearch, we found out that Nespresso and Starbucks are both owned by Nestle, so they were able to make the vertuo pods before the patent expires.
My kids gave me a Vertuo and I'm interested in trying your pods. How about designing an insert for them to be used with a Nespresso Vertuo machine.
Unfortunately we can't make Vertuo pods due to patent restrictions which expire in 2027.
Decided to try Woken because of the compostable pods. And I love the taste of them too.
I love that these capsules are home compostable and really wanted to love the coffee. Unfortunately, the Portofino for me was just not up to the same level as Nespresso coffee. It did not have the bold flavor and intensity that I enjoy. I do, however, love that these are home compostable and hope in the future that the coffee taste is improved.
Thank you for your feedback! We're currently working with our Bean Roaster in Italy to create a blend that you'll love, LIsa!
Dark roast selection was not quite strong enough —but tasty.
Nice flavor, rich taste. Really enjoyed drinking my morning latte.
Love the coffee and love that it can be composted.
First-time customer. Loved the idea of compostable capsules, but the coffees in the pack were generally weak and flat though better intensity #9 was much better. Future orders I would go darker. Have used about ten of the capsules so far and one end-cap came off in our machine and was a little difficult to fish out. Hope they don’t ‘gum up’ my machine… I usually have two Lungos in one cup for my morning fix so I am now “mixing” one Woken with one Nespresso — works so far!
I’m enjoying all 3 , and I really appreciate the compostable containers.
As an espresso lover and admittedly addict I so wanted to love these. The pods seem great although I didn't have enough time to look at how long it takes them to break down, I have to say that the espresso had some kind of a stale taste. Also no crema really. Not for me!
These pods work great with my Nespresso coffee maker. The coffee is fresh and very smooth. I recommend Woken to anyone who loves a good cuppa coffee.
Love Woken! Thanks for having high quality espresso in home compostable pods. ✨🙌
New Dark Roast Pack
I received the order within just a few days. I liked the idea of compostable pods however, for my taste, the coffee is too weak. It doesn’t have an espresso flavor, or even a dark roast flavor. For reference, I like a espresso or Lavazza
I don't get the negative reviews about taste. I am an espresso addict and lived abroad in Spain and Italy for years and have high expectations. I find the Woken flavor deep and not overly bitter. I like Nespresso pods but not more than Woken in flavor or depth. I also never owned a Nespresso machine until Woken because I really couldn't stand the idea of the little bits of plastic every single day.
Agree with other reviewers Woken please eliminate all plastic in packaging as well.
Also agree with a reviewer that from time to time a capsule will leak grounds, but I haven't seen it that often and I was still able to use the pod successfully. The composting and flavor far outweigh the occasional convenience IMO?
Thank you Woken because you filled a product need, you're caffeinating me and my family, and reducing plastic waste. That's amazing and I hope you are all successful as a result!
Thank you for providing this quality coffee in a sustainable method.
Great coffee, Disposable pods good for the planet
